At last...welcome to my blog!

I'm so glad to be here!  I deliberated eight months ago: should I start the blog or wait 'til later?  Obviously, I went with the latter, major excuse being that I should concentrate on learning my art as a newbie miniaturist.  It truly was overwhelming...polymer clay, tools and materials, Etsy, photography (oy, my favorite), the endless research.  And I'm not the brightest bulb when it comes to the web.  Last March, I made an attempt by signing up for an account, but everything ended there.  My mom's voice was in my head, "The road to hell is paved with good intentions."  Didn't fire me up to finish what I started.  So there I was in blog hell and still, lurking anonymously was easier than creating one.

Then, last night I reached the point where I couldn't put it off...and just like that, it was done!  It wasn't difficult and I can't explain why it had become such a big deal for me...maybe dim bulb syndrome?!!!  This is huge...I can finally join this wonderful miniatures community (if it'll have me) and finally, an end to lurking!

Anyway, next Thursday is Thanksgiving Day in the U.S.  Not knowing whether or not I'll post before then, I'd like to express my appreciation to those who have helped me along my mini way (and may not even be aware of it).  A big shout-out to Kiva Atkinson...thanks, buddy, for your friendship, inspiration and moral support...you rock!!!  Another big thank you to Tom Saunders, awesome artisan who also takes customer service to the highest level!  Thanks to Sumaiya Mehreen, who didn't know me from Adam, but offered kind words via email and posted my first Etsy miniature in The Mini Food Blog last February...I was jazzed to see it online.  Hugs to Kim Saulter, who left the single comment on that post...it really meant a lot.  A huge thank you to my customers, all of whom have taken the time to express their appreciation of my work!!  And last but not least, thank you to all the bloggers who have shared their expertise and mini-related and personal experiences...I would love to be your follower and now I can!!
